Last Friday, May 6, the awards ceremony for the 2019 and 2021 seasons of Lanzarote motorsports, dependent on the Las Palmas Automobile Federation (FALP), took place.
Due to the pandemic, the winning drivers had not yet received the corresponding trophies for the 2019 season, so this edition was used to present the awards for both seasons.
Antonio Suárez "Toñín" received the champion trophy in the drivers section in both campaigns, while the co-drivers trophy for the 2019 season went to Jorge Cedrés and the 2021 season to Rogelio Peñate.
The event was attended by the Minister of Sports of the Cabildo, Alfredo Mendoza, as well as different personalities from the institutions such as the Councilor for Sports of Haría, Alejandro Hernández, or the head of the same area of Arrecife, Rosmen Quevedo, that of Tías, Sergio García and that of Yaiza, Ángel Lago. All of them were accompanied by the president of the FALP, Miguel Ángel Domínguez.
