Last Sunday, October 19th, the Canary Islands Cadet, Junior, and Under-21 Championship was held in the Tenerife town of Los Realejos.

The competition took place in the Basilio Labrador Pavilion starting at 10:30 in the morning. In total, ten competitors from the Suhari Lanzarote Karate Club and Jimena Padilla, a referee summoned by the Canary Islands Karate Federation, were present.

The athletes of the Suhari Lanzarote Karate Club had a great Championship, placing fifth in the medal table by entities.

-Mikel González. Canary Islands Kumite Junior Champion -68kg.

-Mauro Rodríguez. Canary Islands Cadet Champion -63kg.

-Nicolás Díaz. Canary Islands Cadet Runner-up -63kg.

-Manuel Pérez. Bronze Medal kumite Junior -76/+76kg.

-Lucas Martín. Fourth place, Kumite Junior -61kg.

- Anthony López. Fourth place, cadet kumite -70kg.

-Nagore Guerrero, Laura Salvador, and Diego González had mixed fortunes in the Championship, unable to reach the medal rounds after so much work and hope, but drawing conclusions and gaining experience, perhaps bitter at this moment, but which will undoubtedly provide us with learning for future competitions.

-Great work, dedication, and attitude from our Coaches Alejandro González, Lars Krause, and Yassin El Maymouni, attentive to all our kids and all the details of the Championship.

Finally, they thanked Kiara, Guaci, Miguel, Alexia, and Alejandro for encouraging, supporting, celebrating, and consoling our athletes as if they were their own children, always having a gesture, a word, a detail, for each and every one of them.
