The San Juan – Real Club Náutico de Arrecife Swimming Crossing, celebrated its XVII edition this Saturday after being suspended last year due to the health situation. This recovers one of the most traditional events in the RCNA's sports calendar.
With more than 320 participants, the starts for the different categories took place throughout the morning, the last one corresponding to the scoring event for the III Canary Islands Cup.

Jesús María Yagüe (00:27:29) and Sybille Bouchet (00:30:13) from the Vulcano Swimming Club were the winners in the men's and women's general classification, respectively, of the Canary Islands Cup. The podium in the men's category was completed by Roberto
Machín from the Blufi Fariones Club and Israel Medina from CD Belén María. In women, second and third place went to Ainhoa Santana from CN Las Palmas and Erika Rivero from CD Swim Train Maspalomas.

Javier Betancort from the Nadamas Club was the winner of the San Juan – RCNA Crossing with a time of 00:25:13, followed in the classification by Oscar Martín from the same club and Iñigo Santamaría from CN Nadamas. In women, the victory went to Lucía Vázquez (00:27:48) followed by Carla Espinosa, both from Nadamas. Victoria Fernández from Blufi Fariones finished third.

Once the event was over, the awards ceremony took place on the stage of the Islas Canarias Park next to the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife. In addition to the trophies for the podiums, a commemorative t-shirt was given to all participants and the finalist medal to those who reached the finish line. Along with the president of the RCNA Julio Romero Ortega were the councilors of the Arrecife City Council Roy González (Sports) and Roberto Vicente Herbón, as well as the directors of the RCNA Sonia Fajardo
and Estanislao Bethencourt.
