The Lanzarote Bestial Racei K10 Xtreme Yaiza 2023, in Lanzarote, has been a success in terms of participation, effort and fun in its fourth edition. On the morning of this Saturday, September 2, the most bestial race on the Island took place, which took the Plaza de la Alameda in the municipality of Yaiza as its epicenter, where the 800 participants from twenty countries gathered, who had to overcome 30 obstacles among the landscapes of the municipality and the volcanoes of Timanfaya.

The day started at 10:30 a.m. with the departure of the first batches of the Elite and Elite Age Group modality; and after them the Trex 10 Km category and, finally, the Hell 5 Km left in different shifts.

The participants of the Elite round fought to win and particularly the women's podium was dominated by Jessica Velasco, with more than twelve minutes over the second classified, Vanessa Fuster, and Nazaret Sosa, who arrived in third position. While in the men's category, Azman Mesand once again took a new victory and once again made the difference, with more than eight minutes over the second classified, Aissa Benzirar, who was followed by Manuel Luján, who crossed the finish line in third place.

The champion of Spain Jessica Velasco, who is the first time she has participated in the Bestial Race of Lanzarote, said she was "very happy" for the victory achieved and stressed that "it has been a very fun experience, although the last obstacle was very long and it took me a long time to overcome it."

For his part, Azman Mesand said he was very happy for a new victory after the one achieved in Fuerteventura and pointed out that "today's test has served as training for the World Cup that is held in mid-September, to which I am going with great enthusiasm and in which I hope to be among the top positions."

The Lanzarote Bestial Race K10 Xtreme Yaiza 2023 is the third stop of the Bestial Race Series 2023 and in the international calendar of obstacle courses. A test that qualifies in the most important championships worldwide, being the only obstacle course in the Canary Islands with those merits. This trajectory has placed it among the 10 best races in Spain, being an international reference for the development of this sport.

For everyone it was a morning of effort and hardness, but with a lot of fun and a very good atmosphere among all the runners, who were able to enjoy the benefits offered by the municipality of Yaiza and the volcanoes of Timanfaya, which are the perfect setting for the Bestial Race one more year. The weather also favored, bringing warmth to the participants and all the public that gathered in the area to support them at all times.

The speech of the event took place by the hand of the speaker Ángel Arencibia, who was in charge of keeping informed and encouraging all the participants and those present throughout the morning.
