Jacob Reyes Mesa and Lourdes Bethencourt Trujillo have been proclaimed winners of the IX Ultrabike Club Santa Rosa Lanzarote, after concluding this Sunday the second stage and adding the times of the time trial held yesterday in La Graciosa, where each participant traveled the 16 km with departure and arrival in Caleta de Sebo. The 2nd stage held this Sunday had a route of 111 km, touring several places on the island of Lanzarote, on a day marked by intense sun and at times strong gusts of wind.
The Ultra and Bike modalities took the start at 8:30 am from the facilities of the Apartamentos Club Santa Rosa, in Costa Teguise, in the direction of the north of the island with a circular route visiting several municipalities of Lanzarote, with the finish line again in Costa Teguise.
Nearly 500 participants have been present in these two days of the purest MTB, visiting unique and special landscapes.
The general podium with the sum of the two stages was the following, in the men's category: 1st Jacob Reyes Mesa (4:46:46), 2nd Antonio Padrón García (4:47:37) and 3rd Lukas Kaufmann (4:55:09), in the women's category the final classification was 1st Lourdes Bethencourt Trujillo (6:10:49), 2nd Cathaysa Sánchez Amador (6:38:08) and 3rd place Lena Kristina Berntsson (7:17:39)
To conclude the event, the awards ceremony took place on Sunday afternoon, concluding this IX edition of the Ultrabike Club Santa Rosa Lanzarote, which has served as a prelude to the tenth anniversary of the event and that the organization is already working on it to make it an unforgettable date in 2024.
