More than 6,000 spectators gathered at the Arena Madrid this Saturday, March 29, thrilled with the exhibition of the Lanzarote native Hecher Sosa, the only light for the Spanish representatives at the WOW17 event. The Canary Islander (12-1) dominated Brazilian Thiago Henrique from the first round, culminating his performance with a devastating elbow in the third round that forced his opponent to surrender against the fence.

Sosa displayed a repertoire of precise strikes and clinch work, "giving him a beating" until breaking Henrique's resistance. This victory by finish reinforces his candidacy to make the leap to the UFC, where he already sounds like one of the most promising lightweights in Europe.

With 12 victories (8 by KO/TKO) and only one defeat, Sosa now awaits the call from the world's largest MMA organization.
