The professional mixed martial arts fighter Hecher Sosa starred in an open training session at the Open Mall Shopping Center, in Lanzarote, as a show of gratitude for the constant support of his island and with the aim of bringing MMA closer to the general public. The event brought together nearly 200 people and served as a prelude to one of the most important moments of his sporting career: his UFC debut on March 14The training took place in the fountain square of the Open Mall Shopping Center and allowed attendees to learn firsthand what a professional MMA fighter's work session is like. Under the nickname "Guanche Warrior," Hecher Sosa first performed a glove training session with one of his coaches, Carmona, to later develop a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu session with Jean Pierre "Coco" GandoFor approximately one hour, the public lived an unusual experience, marked by a staging typical of an official fight, with an epic entrance and live music, which reinforced the educational and approachable nature of the eventAt the end of the session, the natural-born fighter from Los Alonso addressed a few words of thanks to all the people who came to the event, highlighting the importance of sharing with his people the daily work he does in the gym. In that context, he offered a brief motivational talk in which he encouraged attendees to pursue their personal and sporting goals: "Fight for what you want to be and, if someone tells you that you can't achieve it, fight harder."Sosa also reviewed his beginnings in the sport, his ephemeral stint in boxing, and how he managed to be crowned Champion of Spain for the first time, recalling that he was the only one from his gym to achieve it at that time, despite not having prior experience

The meeting continued with a question and answer session in which several fans were interested in his upcoming fight on March 14 at the UFC, which will be his debut in the world's premier MMA league. The fighter explained how he faces this challenge with little time, but with confidence and high morale. In addition, questions such as the role of women in mixed martial arts or his preparation, were other topics that interested the fans.

After publicly thanking the Open Mall Shopping Center for the space cession for the event, Hecher Sosa participated in a photo call with attendees, who took the opportunity to take pictures with him and offer words of support. Among the public were people of all ages, from new MMA fans to fighters who were looking for advice or simply to show their admiration for the closeness maintained by the Lanzaroteño athlete at a key moment in his career"If tomorrow I get injured and have to leave the sport, I will have already won, with the affection of the people and of the island," stated the fighter during the meeting with fansWith this open training, Hecher Sosa reinforces his bond with Lanzarote and consolidates his role as a benchmark for mixed martial arts on the island. In the coming days, he will begin the necessary bureaucratic procedures to be able to compete on March 14 in Las Vegas, which will lead him to travel to Madrid to obtain the visa and, subsequently, to the United States at the beginning of March, where he will complete two weeks of preparation before facing the Brazilian Luan Lacerda. A decisive step in the career of an athlete who does not forget his origins or the support of his people.
