With extraordinary high tide conditions, gentle wind, calm sea and sunny day, the 27th San Ginés Swimming Crossing was held with the participation of more than 250 swimmers.
Gustavo Lourenço and Kennedy Denby, who had already won the San Juan - RCNA Crossing last June, took the victories in the men's and women's general classifications, respectively.
With a time of 0:14:53, Lorenço (Nadamas) was the first participant to reach the finish line after completing a 1,200-meter course from Playa de la Rocar to the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife. He thus won the absolute victory followed by Andreu Jaén with 0:14:55 and Juan José de Armas who stopped the time at 0:15:15, both from the same club as the winner.
In the women's category, Kennedy Denby (Nadamas) took one second more than the winner in boys and with a time of 0:14:54 and at 1'24'' Claudia Pérez Muñoz (ESNA Lanzarote) entered, the third place was occupied by Haug Anne with 0:16:51 and independent.
In the children's category, Juan José de Armas and Claudia Pérez Muñoz were the winners. The victories in junior were for the winners of the test in the general classification, while in junior 2 Jorge Wilkes won it.
After the completion, the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife offered a lunch to the participants and companions, later the awards ceremony was held, which was presided over by the president of the RCNA, Julio Romero Ortega; the Minister of Sports of the Cabildo Alfredo Mendoza Canacho and the Councilor for Sports of Arrecife, Rosmen Quevedo Cabrera.
