With the promotion of Haría Club de Fútbol Rincón de Aganada on Sunday, there are now 15 teams from the island of Lanzarote that have played in the Regional Preferente de Las Palmas. In September, Haría will make its debut in the new category.
The 2009/2010 season will be historic for the conejeros teams of the Regional Preferente de Las Palmas. For the first time, and if there are no last-minute resignations, five teams from the island of Lanzarote will compete in this category. To date, the highest number of teams in this category in the same season had been four teams.
The dean of the conejeros teams in the Regional Preferente de Las Palmas is Altavista CF, a team that has completed its eleventh season in the category this year. CD Teguise with nine participations is the second oldest team in the category and after its relegation from the Third Division, it will complete its tenth season in the Preferente.
Haría CF will equal seasons in the Regional Preferente with teams such as CD Tinajo, Torrelavega, Santa María La Vega, Puerto del Carmen or UD Lanzarote "B", who have had a fleeting participation in the category.
Next season will be the twelfth for Altavista in the Regional Preferente, the tenth for CD Teguise and Unión Sur Yaiza, and the third for Atlético Tiense. For Haría CF it will be the first and it is presented in an exciting way, but knowing that we will have to work hard in the summer months to face a higher category with guarantees.
The track record of the conejeros teams in the Regional Preferente de Las Palmas is as follows:
