The Lanzarote team won 28 to 21 against Soliss Balonmano Pozuelo de Calatrava, in a match that they needed to mature in order to gradually open the gap on the scoreboard and score the two points that were at stake.

Soliss Balonmano Pozuelo tried to surprise CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife by playing from the beginning of the match with a seven attack and leaving their goal empty. The first few minutes of the match were quite even, with minimal differences on the scoreboard, although the Lanzarote team was always the one taking the initiative.

Two good saves by Irene Sánchez and the subsequent goals by Veronika Dvorakova and Lucía Chumillas, allowed CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife to acquire a two-goal lead (5-3). A difference that was quickly neutralized by Soliss Balonmano Pozuelo de Calatrava, achieving a 0-2 partial to equalize the score again (6-6).

Beatriz Masseu was in charge of putting her team ahead on the scoreboard again. In the final stretch of the first half, CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife obtained a three-goal lead, with goals from Thalyta Almeida (2) and Melania Cabrera, having to request a time-out from the visiting coach.

With the score of 12 to 10, the end of the first half was reached. CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife opened an important gap on the scoreboard in the first minutes of the second half, starting the period with a 4-1 partial in favor of the Lanzarote team (16-11). Eusebio Sánchez had to stop the match again, trying to prevent the locals from definitively leaving on the scoreboard.

Marilia Correia, with a powerful outside shot, increased the advantage to six goals, an income that CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife knew how to manage until the end of the match. With seven minutes left, the match was ready for sentencing, with Bea Masseu scoring the goal that put the score at 26-18.

With the result of 28 to 21, the end of the match was reached, adding CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife a victory that allows them to ascend to the third position in the standings, and remain one point away from the direct promotion that Lobas Global Atac Oviedo occupies.
