The Cuban Gleinys Reyes and the Paraguayan Pauli Fernández scored the first two goals for Zonzamas at the beginning of the second half, prompting Alfredo Rodríguez to call a timeout upon seeing the difficulties his team was beginning to have in attack. In addition, the interventions under the posts by goalkeeper Valentina Menucci were decisive in this second half.

After the halfway point of the period, the "batateros" managed to distance themselves by seven goals (17-24), developing a fast game with a lot of intensity in each of their actions.
