A new week begins within Club Balonmano San José Obrero, with the sports management working on the preparation of its two teams that compete in the national category. The week begins with the incorporation of a new player to the LandBit Lanzarote San José Obrero squad, after closing the signing of Chilean goalkeeper Vicente González, thus completing the team's goal that will compete in the Men's First National Division.

Vicente Antonio González Parra, born on September 30, 1999 in Rancagua (Chile), is a 1.92 meter tall goalkeeper. He stands out for his physical size and agility between the posts, which allows him to have great performances defending the team's goal.

Before making the leap to Spain, he spent three seasons defending the colors of the Chilean team Unión Machalí. In the 2020/2021 season he joined Córdoba Balonmano, a team in which he spent two years in the Men's Silver Honor Division. And last season he signed for Balonmano Soria, a team in the Men's First National Division. He has been an international in the lower categories of Chile, playing in the Youth World Championship in Georgia in 2017 and the Junior World Championship in Pontevedra in 2019, and has also had the opportunity to debut with the absolute team of Chile.

The new LandBit Lanzarote goalkeeper believes that "it is a great experience to be able to play in Lanzarote, to do it in the best way and as professionally as possible." Vicente González explains that he opted for the San José Obrero offer because "my teammates spoke very well of the club and it is a team that is always fighting for the promotion phase" and adds that "if it is always fighting for the promotion phase, it must be because things are done well."

The Chilean goalkeeper assures that "we will try to transmit our desire to do things well and achieve our objectives" and adds that "having the public supporting you will be an additional motivation." For this reason, he hopes that "many people will come throughout the season, these things are always appreciated."

Vicente González becomes the second signing of LandBit Lanzarote San José Obrero for the 2023/2024 season, and joins the arrival of goalkeeper Javi de la Cruz. In addition, the squad that will be led by Samuel Trives already has the renewal of central defender Óscar Silva.
