The Tizziri Tinajo Club La Santa Basketball Club experienced on Friday afternoon one of those unforgettable days that will remain in the memory of all those who are part of the Tizziri Tinajo basketball family. The Tinajo team made the official presentation of the 2015/2016 season, recalling the adventure that began ten years ago with the aim of promoting basketball in the municipality of Tinajo. On its tenth anniversary, CB Tizziri Tinajo Club La Santa has more than 120 players of all categories and with a view to continue growing season after season.
The official presentation of CB Tizziri Tinajo Club La Santa was held at the Municipal Pavilion of Tinajo, with the presence of all the players, coaches, monitors and managers who are part of the club. The president of CB Tizziri Tinajo, Luis Abreu, was accompanied by Vianney Rodríguez, Councilor for Sports of the City of Tinajo, and Kim Edwards, marketing manager of Club La Santa.
The event began with the screening of a video recalling some of the moments in the history of CB Tizziri Tinajo Club La Santa. A tour of the club's ten years of life, from its beginnings to the present, appreciating how the club has grown over the years and with the promotion of basketball as its sole objective. Next, the players of the ten teams that Tizziri Tinajo has were parading to take the applause of the numerous public that was in the facilities of the Municipal Pavilion of Tinajo.
Luis Abreu, president of CB Tizziri Tinajo Club La Santa, was moved when recalling in the presentation ceremony the first directors of the club and how it has gone from the 20 children of the first year to the more than 120 they currently have. Luis Abreu commented that "this club belongs to everyone and we want parents to collaborate with us, because the improvement of the club will also be the improvement of their children.
CB Tizziri Tinajo has signed a collaboration agreement with Club La Santa, with the company sponsoring the shirts of all teams. Kim Edwards, marketing manager of Club La Santa, explained that "for Club La Santa it is a pleasure to collaborate with the Tizziri Tinajo Basketball Club". Kim Edwards congratulated the board of directors of the "club for the ten years of life, as well as the children and parents for encouraging them to play sports, because sport is a healthy gift that must be taken advantage of".
