CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen achieved a comprehensive victory this Thursday at the Municipal de Tías against CB San José Obrero (44-14) in a match corresponding to the second matchday of Group A of the Canary Islands Women's Territorial League.
Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Santana's team started with two more gears than the Arrecife team, gaining advantages from the start that left the match half-resolved for the locals.
The capital team failed to start the engine and succumbed to the local counterattacks, abundant during the first half to the dismay of the San José goalkeeper (23-4 at halftime).
Marcial Felipe Brito was unnerved by each loss of the ball, but his team did not find the necessary spark during the match despite a slight improvement in the second half, perhaps caused by the opportunities given by the local coach to the less usual players, seeing the notable differences on the scoreboard.
A more than abundant result at the end of the match (44-14) with Lucía Olivier as the top local scorer and of the match with nine goals, well accompanied in attack by the rest of the team in a quite choral victory for the Tiñosera youth players.
The victory momentarily leaves CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen as the group leader with one victory and two points. With two points and one match played are also Turismark Balonmano Caima and Club Blanquiazul Tahíche. Ca'Mario Lanzarote has two points in two matches played.
The Tiñosera team will play again on October 22 at 9:00 p.m. at the Municipal de Tahíche against Club Blanquiazul Tahíche.
