CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen managed this Saturday to premiere with a victory in this 2019 at the Municipal Pavilion of Tías against HBC'74 IEN AVIA (28-19) in a match corresponding to the 17th day of Group B of the Women's Silver Honor Division.

The victory of the conejera took time to materialize on the scoreboard. Despite a good local start, with fast counterattacks and good ball handling, the match thickened shortly after until well into the second half thanks, among other things, to the good performance of the goalkeepers.

CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen reached halftime with a tight score (13-12) and hopes placed on the physical to finish channeling the match in the restart.

The visiting players began to be surpassed with twenty minutes to go (17-14) with the expulsion with a red card of Mara Dominguez after a dangerous entry to Rosa Álvarez.

With this victory, CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen maintains the lead of Group B of the Women's Silver Honor Division with 34 points and seventeen victories after seventeen matches played, undefeated and followed with 29 points by Logroño Sporting La Rioja and Atlántico Pereda, the latter being the next rivals of the conejeras on matchday 18 in a match that will be played at the Numancia Municipal Pavilion in Santander next Sunday, February 3, at 12:00.

Atlántico Pereda has won this week at Schär Zaragoza's home (20-32), a victory based on the eleven goals of Aida Brull and the seven goals of Belén Sáez, which places them in the third position of the standings, with 29 points, with a balance after seventeen days of fourteen victories, one draw and two defeats. In the first leg match played in Lanzarote on the fifth day, Miguel Ángel Lemes' players won (34-26), with a remarkable performance by Famara Fernández and Luci Betancort.
