C.D. Estefut, waiting for the Las Palmas Football Federation to recognize their right to promotion that they won on the field

"We hope that no more obstacles are put in place to occupy this place that we have honestly won, because we have the strength, the desire and the courage to have what rightfully belongs to us," says the club's president.

From the Board of Directors of CD Estefut, they wanted to convey to the entire society of Lanzarote and especially to the island's sports community, "the emotion and excitement felt by all the members of this humble but dignified institution, the need to defend the right to promotion that was achieved last season with a lot of sweat and effort."

“Each point won, each goal scored, is a reward. But also, and almost more importantly, each goal conceded, or the matches where we failed, seeing the eyes of our boys, raising their heads proudly to continue competing, being part of this small club, is precisely one of the greatest things we have done”, as Jose Vicente Rodríguez, President of Estefut, explains to us, recalling that the club owes its players, parents, coaches and fans, who after all are the essence of grassroots sport.

But the Club warns that this constant struggle, “that of playing sports as a team, that of playing football, being children, leads us to assume the responsibility of defending our right to promotion to inter-island youth, a right that was deservedly won by becoming champions in the 22/23 season and we will do so with as much enthusiasm as we fight each of our matches.”

And it is that in said category there is a free place, a place that due to sporting merits, having the best score coefficient in the province of Las Palmas, belongs to the conejero club. "We hope that no more obstacles are put in place to occupy this place that we have honestly won, because we have the strength, the desire and the courage to have what rightfully belongs to us," he adds.

The president of the Club reiterates that “we are being advised so that in the end this humble club certifies its objective, which is none other than for another team from Lanzarote to defend the island throughout the province, and that many more conejero children have the opportunity to play abroad. Because after all, and apart from football, all of us who are in youth categories, what we like the most is seeing the smile of a child at the end of a season, because whatever they obtain, everything has been done fairly”, says José Viccente.
