The tourist town of Costa Teguise hosted the first edition of the TriWomen Santa Rosa on Saturday morning, a sporting event that had women as the main protagonist and that was developed for solidarity purposes. Nearly 200 triathletes participated in the three modalities of the TriWoman Santa Rosa, raising funds for the fight against cancer and gender violence through the Spanish Association Against Cancer and the Mararía Association. The British Bella Bayliss fulfilled the predictions and was the winner of the queen category of the TriWomen Santa Rosa.

The parking lot in the Los Charcos beach area was the central point of the first edition of the TriWomen Santa Rosa, with the swimming segment taking place on Los Charcos beach. From early in the morning, the participants of the event began to arrive, depositing the sports equipment in the area enabled for the transitions between the different segments. The girls from MTDance were in charge of carrying out the massive warm-up of the participants of the three modalities of the I TriWomen Santa Rosa.

The participants of the "TriWomen" modality were the last to start. The triathletes of the queen event had to complete a 750-meter swim, 11 kilometers of cycling and conclude with a 5-kilometer run along the Costa Teguise maritime avenue. The swimming segment developed on Los Charcos beach was marked by the struggle between Sara Camacho and Bella Bayliss, with Sara being the first to leave the water and begin the mountain bike segment.

The British Bella Bayliss returned to competition in the I TriWomen Santa Rosa, and the time of absence from the competitions was not an impediment to dominate the event from the bicycle race segment. Bella Bayliss scored the victory in the I TriWomen Santa Rosa, crossing the finish line with a time of 59 minutes and 50 seconds. The second position in the classification was for Lucy Biddelestone (1:02:59), completing the podium with the third place of Carmen Delia Luz (01:08:54). Sara Camacho, a triathlete who completed the swimming segment in first place, crossed the finish line in fourth position.

The "Trimix" modality had a course of 350 meters swimming, 6.5 kilometers of cycling and 2.5 kilometers of running, with boys and girls from 12 to 17 years of age and women over 18 years of age participating. It was the category with the largest number of participants, with many triathletes deciding to do this modality in teams.

Marcos Knight was the winner of the "Trimix" modality with a time of 34 minutes and 48 seconds. The podium of the men's category was completed with the second place of Jesús Gómez (35:05) and the third position of Adrián Rodríguez (37:38). In the women's category, the victory went to Mia Leadbeater with a time of 38 minutes and 13 seconds. Sara González (43:14) and Tiffany Cabrera (46:19) were second and third, respectively, in the "Trimix" modality.

The team "Los Ahulagas", composed of Alejandro, Álvaro and Pablo, were the winners of the team modality of the I TriWomen Santa Rosa, completing the course in a time of 35 minutes and 58 seconds. "Yes we can" integrated by Olga, Lola and Carolina, was the second classified in the team modality and the podium was completed with the third place of "Nadamas", composed of Tomaso, Humberto and Saúl

The little ones could also participate in the first edition of the TriWomen Santa Rosa. The "Trinijos" modality had a course of 150 meters of swimming, 2.5 kilometers of cycling and 650 meters of running. Manuel Diaz-Bertrana (17:00) and Celia Thom (18:08) were the winners of the children's category. Carlos Fernández and Acoidán Curbelo completed the podium of the men's category of the "Tinijos" and Nadia Martín and María Carolina Belarra also climbed the podium in the women's category.

The I TrIWomen Santa Rosa concluded with the awarding of trophies for each of the categories. An event that was attended by Antonio Callero, Councilor for Sports of the Teguise City Council, Félix Echevarría, director of the Santa Rosa Club, and Paloma Fernández, representing the organization of the I TriWomen Santa Rosa. The sporting event held this Saturday in Costa Teguise has served to raise funds for the fight against cancer and gender violence, through the Spanish Association Against Cancer and the Mararía Association.
