Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, in their return to the Men's Silver Honor Division, were defeated by Horneo EON Alicante, one of the clear favorites to fight for promotion to the ASOBAL League. The overwhelming start of the match by the Alicante team was key to tipping the victory to the visitors' side, starting the match with a partial score of 1 to 7.
