Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife complicates its permanence in the Men's Silver Honor Division, after falling on Sunday morning on the court of Balonmano Proin Sevilla, in a direct duel for continuity in the category. The defensive facilities given and the failures in attack, marked the development of the match, being in the second part when the Andalusians opened a wide difference in the score to end up conquering the two points that were at stake.

How much was at stake in this match was palpable from the beginning of the match, with maximum tension on the playing court. The first exclusions were not long in coming, with Mauro Jaureguiberry suffering two in the first minutes that limited his participation in the match. Carlos González put the Lanzarote team ahead, but two goals from Julián López put the Seville team ahead.

Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife took advantage of the fact that the rival withdrew the goalkeeper to equalize the forces in attack after an exclusion, to score two goals from their court and return to take the lead on the scoreboard (2-3). It was the last time that San José Obrero took the initiative in the electronic scoreboard of the El Paraguas Sports Center, a pavilion that registered a great entrance.

With the passing of the minutes, doubts in the attack of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife began to appear. A goal from the Argentine Federico Gull increased the advantage to three goals, having to request a time-out from Samuel Trives (11-8). With the result of 14 to 12, the break was reached, a score that left the match open for the second half.

Balonmano Proin Sevilla was more intense in the second half, and the visitors were thick in attack. The most that Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife achieved was to be one goal down, after the goal scored by Carlos González (15-14). The failures in attack came even from seven meters, with Javi Aragón and Ángel Iglesias missing shots that were stopped by the Canarian goalkeeper Kilián Ramírez.

Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife conceded a partial score of 5 to 0, and Balonmano Proin Sevilla achieved its maximum income of the match (20-14). With ten minutes left for the end, the Lanzarote team was not able to take advantage of the time that the rival was with three players less on the court, showing the doubts in attack when they had to play fast to get into the match.

With the result of 24 to 19, the end of the match was reached, a result that places Balonmano Ciudad de Arrecife in the penultimate position of the classification and placing itself 4 points from the permanence zone. Blendio Sinfín Santander will be the next rival of the Lanzarote team, a match that will be played on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion.
