Amelie Yaiza, an athlete from the Lanzarote karate club Poliarrecife, has won the gold medal at the “Budokan Cup” International Championship, a tournament that was held last Saturday, November 19, in Bochum, Germany.
The fighter, who arrived after playing a prominent role in the Adeje Autonomous Championship that took place recently, obtained first place after competing in the Kumite Female U14 – 49kgs category. On the other hand, in the general classification of the competitors of her age, she obtained a more than meritorious 7th place.
The tournament managed to bring together about a thousand athletes from 14 different countries spread over three continents.
