UD Lanzarote played its first home game of the season on Sunday and could not offer its fans a positive result, after falling 0-2 to UD San Fernando. It was not a very showy match that was seen on the pitch of the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote, with a tiresome rhythm and without continuity, with the locals being infected by the style that the visitors wanted to develop. Omar Velázquez and Adrián scored the goals for San Fernando.
The first half did not have a clear dominator and the game was balanced between the two teams. UD Lanzarote generated danger with some crosses from the right wing, one of them from Kevin Lemes and which Adrián Bravo headed wide of the three posts. The visitors had the best chance on the stroke of half-time, when Yeremi Valerón volleyed a ball from the edge of the area and Alejandro responded with a good save.
The second half began with a chance for UD Lanzarote. After a short corner, Cedenilla crossed into the heart of the area and Matheus's header went into Fermín's hands. UD San Fernando took the lead from a set piece, with a corner that fell short at the near post and Omar took advantage of the rejected ball to send it into the back of the net.
Just two minutes later, San Fernando increased the difference on the scoreboard. Adrián picked up a ball in the vicinity of the area, settled for the shot and the shot surpassed Alejandro's stretch.
