Serious match for the recently closed seventeenth day of the Division of Honor Gold of a CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote that already had mathematically the permanence after the defeat of BM Salud Tenerife. Despite having fulfilled the objective prior to the season of staying in the category, Patro Barambio's team did not want to relax, seeking to close this campaign as high as possible in the standings.

Thus, there were great 6:0 defenses by both sides, with an Uneatlantico Pereda somewhat more aggressive being on the verge of exclusion on numerous occasions. The Santander team opened the scoring in style, reaching a lead of three goals when the red-and-blacks had not yet opened their goal tally.

It was Mary Sánchez who would score twice to put the electronic 4-2, thanks also to the work of a Susi Sánchez, who risked her physique to intercept the local shots and fight for a tie that did not arrive until a cannon shot nine meters from the goal, signed by Brenda Roger, would leave the tie at 5 in the eleventh minute. Precisely, the majorera would be in charge of finding the goal, also with an outside shot, after the first quarter of an hour to put the visitors ahead for the first time on the scoreboard (7-8).

Uneatlantico Pereda was not going to give up yet and constantly maintained the tables in an electronic that was frozen at times due to the tough defenses and the lack of aim of the two teams. If in the twentieth minute Brenda achieved a new tie at 10, it would not be until six minutes later when Gleinys Reyes would transform a maximum penalty to leave the 10-11 on the scoreboard.

Just after that, the maximum income of this first half would arrive for the batateras with Berenice Frelier scoring a counterattack after a great save by Sánchez. But the equality between the teams would be maintained, reaching the break with the minimum advantage of 12-13.

The second half took a turn of script, with very fast goals that dislodged the electronic that ended up leaning towards the local side during the first minutes, in moments in which the CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote had one more player, although the red-and-blacks would soon regain control of the match.

It was Frelier who put the comeback with the 15-16 after the first five minutes. In addition, the two-goal lead would return with Ana Martín appearing under the sticks so that Ingrid Roger would then dare to shoot from her field and score into an empty goal, and the Santander team had decided to play with seven players in attack.
Brenda dared again with the outside shot, achieving a three-goal advantage (15-18), so that Frelier then scored twice in a row and left the 17-20 in the first ten minutes of the second half.

Precisely the Argentine lateral, having already completed the first quarter of an hour, put the 19-25. A five-goal lead that made clear the dominance of CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote in this second half thanks to the great red-and-black defensive work that precipitated inert shots from the locals.

Reyes put the finishing touch, getting a clear 20-26 with less than ten minutes to go. It was then that the scoreboard stopped again with two teams accusing the physical wear and tear and an Uneatlantico Pereda that seemed, now yes, to give up. But it was not so when the locals saw that, little by little, they had managed to reduce differences to only three goals when there were still two minutes of the match.

CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote could complicate a match that seemed won by not sentencing it forcefully, when in addition the permissiveness of the referees served to give continuity to plays that could well be a serious problem for some red-and-blacks that benefited from a clock that reached sixty minutes of play with the final 24-27, which could well have been modified after numerous unforced errors by both teams in that last stretch of the match.

The first objective of the season is met with merit, with five days to go, with a CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote that will compete next season in Division de Honor Oro. The batateras now want to close the domestic competition at the top of the standings and for this it will be necessary to face, in the next appointment, BM Morvedre, current leader who will have to make the maximum effort if he wants to take the points from the municipal pavilion of San Bartolomé on March 25.
