Everything is going sensationally. Or that's what an alien might perceive if they landed in Lanzarote today. It would be enough to create a simple profile on social networks and start following many of the senior officials who lead us today.
The situation on our island is reaching an unsustainable point in a land that, paradoxically, defends its sustainability tooth and nail. Yes; in another social sphere, but it's all the same. Without a concordant balance between the different areas of our life, the balance is thrown off.
The pateras arrive relentlessly and people continue to die on our coasts, in addition to the concern and sensitivity that the PSOE Government has always shown from its comfortable armchairs. And that staunch defense of the fundamental rights of any human being is absolutely credible.
At least I buy it and share it. However, the actions that accompany those well-crafted slogans on social networks are jarring. Because the equation is simple. If one is really worried about something, one puts everything in one's power to solve it; and if he doesn't succeed because he errs or can't go any further, he can even be recognized for the effort.
However, the submission and silence of the Government show a total lack of tact, of courage in a thorny issue and of arrest to dot the i's.
But the photos and videos are perfect. Harmonious and edited to send a message that is as empty as the proposals written in the "solutions to the migratory crisis" box.
I hardly dare to write about unemployment anymore, but I will do so in the not too distant future. I would just like to give the reader a little information. With 64.2% youth unemployment, Lanzarote is at the bottom not only in Spain but also in Europe. However, the socialist government offers us vouchers to go to the cinema and eat popcorn, which will surely help the island to move forward.
