Anyone who visits the secretary's office of an educational center notices the shortage of human resources in many of them.
In many schools and institutes where there should be two people, there is one, which ends up with a considerable workload, especially in the months of pre-registration and registration. A real stress for this staff. One person cannot take on the work of two or three.
Human resources are so diminished that in some centers there is a secretarial service on certain days of the week. The other days we find the office with the blinds down. The IES Haría and the CEIP of the same town do not have an administrative assistant.
When we talk about a teaching center, we always think of the teaching staff and the students; however, there is other important staff such as subordinates, maintenance, cleaning or administrative assistant, for example. Some of the tasks of the latter are: registration of entry and exit, cataloging and classification of documents or management of student and staff files.
The scarcity or lack of human resources in the secretarial offices, which are so important for the proper functioning of an educational center, cannot be tolerated.
