The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, trusts in "improving institutional relations" with the Cabildo after the departure of the previous Councilor for Public Works for the PP, Jacobo Medina, with whom he had maintained important differences.
"Yaiza always advocates for collaboration between institutions and their necessary understanding for the resolution of problems and execution of projects, away from petty individualistic and partisan interests, so we hope for a change in the treatment of Yaiza with the entry of the new councilor responsible for the areas of Works and Sports", Noda expressed, after holding a first meeting last Friday with the new councilor of the area, the socialist Alfredo Mendoza.
The meeting was also attended by the Councilor for Sports, Ángel Lago, and the Councilor for Parks and Gardens, Rubén Arca, who welcomed Mendoza to his new position and took the opportunity to convey "the main municipal concerns" of the areas that concern him.
Among other issues, the City Council points out that "the meeting served to address delicate issues in terms of roads and works that the previous councilor left pending", such as "the sinkhole of Los Hervideros, in addition to the recent closure of the viewpoints in the same area, the problems with access to the Atlantic Park or the Ring of Fire of the Insular Bike Path".
The southern representatives also took the opportunity to discuss the distribution of FDCAN funds and the Municipal Cooperation Plan, with the aim of increasing the allocation corresponding to Yaiza for the coming year.
