This Tuesday, the Yaiza City Council signed the municipal road cleaning contract with the company FCC, which commits the awarded company to provide cleaning services for roads, sidewalks, and curbs, washing of parks and squares, and emptying of trash cans in all towns, including the partial plans of Costa Papagayo, Playa Blanca, Castillo del Águila, and Las Coloradas, located in the tourist town of Playa Blanca, and Corto Viejo and Puerto Calero in Puerto Calero.
The Councilor for Cleaning of Yaiza, Jonatan Lemes, and the regional director of FCC, Miguel Ángel Castanedo, signed the contract, which represents an annual investment of 693,000 euros for the City Council. "We are fulfilling the clear commitment to citizens to improve resources to optimize the service and extend its provision to partial plans of Playa Blanca and Puerto Calero,” highlighted Jonatan Lemes, who is also responsible for the Urban Planning Area.
From the signing of the contract, FCC has 40 days to start operating in Yaiza, complying with the road cleaning of the municipality.
