The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, signed this Tuesday the contract for the implementation of a new playground "for the use and enjoyment of the families of Playa Blanca". It will be located on Los Llanos street, in the urban area of San Marcial del Rubicón, and the project budget amounts to 93,000 euros, financed with money corresponding to the City Council from the Municipal Cooperation Plan of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.

“We continue to advance in the execution of the intervention program in 24 parks in the municipality and in the creation of new recreation areas, as is the case of this project,” says the mayor.

“We are acting in phases, complying with the processing of tenders, always with the aim of renovating the parks, making them more accessible and meeting citizen demands,” explains Rubén Arca, Councilor for Parks and Gardens of Yaiza.

In addition, the City Council recalls that it is also tendering "the works of conditioning a disused sports area in the urban area of San Marcial del Rubicón", with a municipal investment of close to "431,000 euros".

With this, the Yaiza City Council will put at the service of citizens “a multifunctional court for soccer and basketball, will install stands and calisthenics machines and will build public bathrooms, among other actions”. “Yaiza continues to speak with facts and investments, it is our obligation, we can do it with healthy accounts and we will continue our firm commitment to the well-being of the municipality”, concludes the mayor.
