The rehabilitation works of the Islas Canarias Park, next to the avenue and marina of Arrecife, have started on the morning of this Friday, January 8.
At the request of the mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, lthe parking concessionaire will cover the costs of this reform. In this regard, it should be recalled that last November, the first mayor announced that the company Aparcamientos Parque Islas Canarias SL, had committed to rehabilitate the works of the park, its improvement and maintenance, as required by the title of the Coast concession of the year 2000.
According to the City Council, this Friday morning there were already several operators of the construction company that will carry out the work to restore this emblematic park in the capital of Lanzarote that, after "many years of abandonment and neglect", will premiere "a renovated, cared for and repaired image" throughout this new year 2021, after the completion of the work.
The mayor of Arrecife, Ástrid Pérez, has remarked that during this mandate it is intended to recover the parks, public spaces and municipal gardens "for a true enjoyment of the citizens carrying out works of improvement, beautification and maintenance".
