Tías Town Council has started work on the replacement of the roof of the Tías sports hall, a project tendered for 387,126 euros that will improve the conditions and functionality of this municipal facility.
This project, integrated into the Lanzarote Island Council's Municipal Cooperation Plan, includes "the redesign of rainwater drainage, solving the waterproofing problems of a building that is more than 20 years old".
From the Town Council they point out that, as stated in the document, the object of the works is "the replacement of the covering material of the existing roof, blind part and skylight, including the redesign of the rainwater drainage, which will be redirected by means of a perimeter channel and downspouts to the sewage network".
The roof surface of the building is around 3,200 square metres, so the work will be carried out in sectors, both the dismantling and the installation of the new roof material.
