The Yaiza City Council has announced the start of the voting phase of the Participatory Budgets, "after analyzing the feasibility of the initiatives presented by residents in the previous phase of this process." Any person registered in the municipality, over 16 years of age, can participate in the election, giving their support to a maximum of two proposals, assigning one point to each.

Voting can be done through the link published in the header of the municipal website www.yaiza.es until October 10, the date on which the order of scores obtained and the selected initiatives will be known, until the 120,000 euros allocated in this first edition are exhausted.

"After months of intense work, the voting phase begins, in which our residents will have the opportunity to decide which proposals will finally be implemented in the next year. We make a call to encourage them to actively participate and make new improvements for the municipality a reality, starting from the citizens themselves,” said the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda.

The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Águeda Cedrés, highlights “the high participation registered in the different phases of the process,” pointing out that they hope it will be repeated during the voting. "The projects are very varied, respond to real needs and promote common well-being," she said.
