He was walking down a street in Tías with two suitcases in his hand when he met a Civil Guard patrol. When asked about his destination, the individual, a British tourist, replied that he was going to the airport after having had an argument with his partner. The Civil Guard then went to the couple's home, where they found the wife, a 48-year-old British woman, with symptoms of having been physically assaulted, with a bruise on her eyeball and a nasal contusion, so she had to be transferred to the Tías Health Center.
On the other hand, agents from the same Civil Guard post in Tías went to a home in Puerto del Carmen on Thursday afternoon, following a report of a woman being assaulted. According to the agents, the aggressor, of German nationality, was the victim's partner, whom he hit. During the fight, the couple's 12-year-old daughter tried to intervene, while the man used a mop soaked in bleach against them. Both had to be treated by a Red Cross unit, to be later transferred to the Arrcife General Hospital, with conjunctivitis and bruises on their legs.
Both detainees have been placed at the disposal of the courts this Friday before the head of the Arrecife Duty Court.
