At the end of March, the Tías City Council processed the transfer orders to pay a total of 101,000.17 euros in subsidies to the ten sports clubs and groups in the municipality, among which the Magec Tías Sports Club (basketball), the Unión Puerto del Carmen Sports Club (handball) and the Sporting Tías Football Club stand out in terms of the amount awarded.
These subsidies correspond to the 2020/2021 academic year of these schools, for the development of their activity and with the purpose of contributing to the consolidation of the sports structure of the clubs. The City Council affirms that subsequent transfers corresponding to the competitions will be added to this amount.
According to the list of these subsidies, the Magec Tías sports club (basketball) receives 31,132.14 euros, the Unión Puerto del Carmen sports club (handball) receives 15,778.97 euros and the Sporting Tías football club receives 14,109.44 euros.
The following subsidized clubs are the PDC Puerto del Carmen football club (7,751.92 euros), Puerto del Carmen barrilla club (7,319 euros), Suhari Shito-Ryu Karate-Do (6,375 euros), Abora de Lua Lanzarote artistic gymnastics club (5,829.70 euros), Sasuke Dojo sports recreation group, aikido (5,710 euros), Lanzarote Raqueta Club badminton (3,784 euros) and CDADC and recreation La Tiñosa Guatifay, indoor football (3,210 euros).
A total of 206,324.72 euros in 2020
The City Council recalls that last year the payments to sports clubs corresponding to the subsidies for the 2019/2020 academic year and to the competitions and activities carried out during the past year by these schools were processed. In total, in 2020, 206,324.72 euros were paid.
The list of sports clubs to which payments were processed in 2020 is as follows: Magec Tías sports club (64,440.35 euros), Unión Puerto del Carmen sports club (26,572.16 euros), Barrilla Puerto del Carmen club (22,995 euros), Sporting Tías football club (21,441.94 euros), Suhari Shito Ryu Karate-Do (20,603 euros), Cadanto de Tías wrestling club (19,378 euros of nominated subsidy), CDADC and Recreo La Tiñosa Tiguafay (13,354.78 euros), PDC Puerto del Carmen football club (7,103.99 euros), Match Point tennis club (4,612.5 euros), Kannagara Dojo sports recreation (3,375 euros), Sasuke Dojo sports recreation group (1,545 euros), Lanzarote Raqueta club (903 euros).
