Tías programs the Literature Week with literary gatherings, storytelling and workshops

The seven days of activities will take place between April 18 and 23

The Tías City Council has scheduled seven days of storytelling, gatherings, a lyrical concert, a literary presentation, a poetry workshop, and a theatrical play to take place from April 18 to 23 for the Literature Week, coinciding with World Book Day on the latter date, in different locations throughout the municipality.

The City Council indicates that the program will begin on Monday, April 18, with a storytelling session for babies by storyteller Vicky Dos Santos, at 5:00 PM in the Tías Library. It will later be repeated at 6:30 PM in the Puerto del Carmen Library. At 7:30 PM, in the San Antonio de Tías hermitage, a literary gathering called "An Afternoon with Emilio Fernández" will be held.

On Tuesday at 10:00 AM, the activity "A Book, a Life," literature for the elderly of the municipality, will begin at the La Orilla senior center in Tías. Later, at 11:00 AM, a storytelling session with Vicky Dos Santos will be offered at the Tías Library for students from the municipality's schools.

On Wednesday at 10:00 AM, the activity "A Book, a Life" will move to the Puerto del Carmen senior center on Bajamar Street, and the storytelling session, which will be dedicated to the young people of the municipality's institutes, will be held at 11:00 AM in the Tías Municipal Theater. At 5:00 PM, a poetry workshop called "An Afternoon with Rafa Hernández" is planned at the Tías Library.

On April 21 at 7:00 PM, a literary gathering will take place in the San Antonio hermitage about the creation, editing, and sale of books by Carlos Bataglini and Inés Caraballo. At 8:00 PM, the lyrical concert "Walking Among Zarzuelas" will be held in the Municipal Theater, a project supported by the Canary Islands Institute for Cultural Development with Raquel Hernández, Augusto Brito, Satomi Morimoto, and Luis Alberto Giner.

On April 22, there will be two literary presentations at the La Tiñosa cultural center, hosted by José Vicente and Adrián Niz: At 5:30 PM, the creator Vicky Frau will present, and at 7:30 PM, Manuel Díaz will do so.

Finally, for Saturday, April 23, at 11:00 AM, a literary gathering with María Jesús Alvarado and the screening of a documentary have been scheduled at the La Tiñosa cultural center. The day will close at 8:00 PM in the Municipal Theater with the theatrical performance "Dracula," from the Canarias Artes Escénicas festival.
