The Tías City Council has launched a special campaign to combat bullying called We are more together with the martial arts clubs of the municipality, Kannagara Dojo of Aikido, G.R.D. Sasuke Dojo and Suhari Shito-Ryu Karate-Do.
The initiative is based on a video that combines training images with a forceful narration about the transformative power of sport and with the phrase In Tías, respect always wins. In addition, the presence in social networks and local media is reinforced to give visibility to the daily work of these clubs and promote the practice of these disciplines as a way of personal, emotional and community growth.
The Councilor for Sports, Ismael Cruz, states that the participation of the clubs "is an essential part of this institutional action, which combines awareness, social recognition and sports promotion."
He explains that the objective of the Sports area is to highlight the fundamental role played by martial arts clubs in the prevention of bullying and in the formation of values in children and youth. "In Tías we want to vindicate the educational dimension of sport and its capacity to build positive role models from respect, coexistence and cooperation," he adds.
The initiative focuses on the tatami and the values that are transmitted from the "dojos" as safe, inclusive spaces committed to coexistence. With the motto We are more, the campaign aligns with the clubs of the municipality to launch a clear message: against bullying and indifference, we respond with firmness and empathy.
"With this campaign we not only support our clubs, but we build a collective story that says loud and clear that true strength is not in harm, but in respect. In Tías, we are more who want to act well and protect ourselves," emphasizes Ismael Cruz.
The Tías City Council thus continues its commitment to a sport with values that, in addition to training athletes, trains conscious, committed and supportive people. "We want every girl and boy in our municipality to know that they are not alone, that there is a community that supports them, that here, in Tías, respect always wins," concludes Cruz.
