The Tías Town Hall has announced that the deadline for applications for grants for university students in the municipality has been extended until July 28. All interested parties can process these applications in person by appointment or electronically through the Electronic Headquarters.

Initially, the date to apply for these grants expired this Tuesday, July 7. "But the deadlines have been changed due to the recent state of alarm and we have decided to extend the period for submitting applications to facilitate the procedures for both university students and the Town Hall staff," explained the Councilor for Education, Tomás Silvera.

The councilor also recommends "making an appointment as soon as possible and not leaving it for the last day, especially considering the high volume of prior appointments that the council is registering."

Processing and requirements

The Tías Town Hall provides two options for carrying out the procedures: in person and electronically. The in-person option requires an appointment at the Registry through the website www.ayuntamientodetias.es or by calling the telephone number 928 833 619.

In the case of applying for the grant through the Internet, which requires a digital certificate, you must access www.ayuntamientodetias.es, choose the option of Electronic Headquarters/Submission of New Applications/Catalog of Procedures/Competitive Competition Grant for Study Aid.

Among the requirements detailed in the bases is the academic excellence of the applicant and their social and family situation. These extraordinary grants for students based in the municipality will be considered compatible with other subsidies and grants from other organizations or institutions.
