The firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote intervened this Saturday in the extinction of two fires registered in two abandoned buildings, one in Costa Teguise and the other in the capital, Arrecife.

The first fire was reported by the CECOES around 4:00 p.m. in an abandoned hotel under construction, located in Costa Teguise, one of the well-known "skeletons" of the area. Upon arrival, the firefighters had the collaboration of the Local Police, who facilitated access to the site. In the place two different outbreaks were located: one on the second floor of one of the structures and another in the basement of an adjoining building. To control the flames, water and foam were used.

The second fire took place in an abandoned construction site located at Calle Arcipreste de Hita, number 9, in Arrecife. In this case, the notice was also received through the CECOES. Upon arriving at the place, the firefighters accessed the site with the help of the Local Police, since it was completely fenced. The fire affected a basement room, full of mattresses, garbage and accumulated belongings. After making sure with a thermal camera that there were no people inside, the firefighters proceeded to extinguish it using water.
