The Tías City Council has awarded the company Transporte y Excavaciones Tiagua S.L. the execution of the construction works of the Camino Berriel. The works, which will begin in the coming weeks, will put an end to a historical neighborhood demand and mark a significant advance in the improvement of the municipality's infrastructure.
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, highlighted that this award culminates a complex procedure that has been prolonged for years due to the numerous bureaucratic obstacles that have delayed the project. “Today we take an important step to fulfill a historical demand of the neighbors, who have waited too long to see this necessary work come true,” he said.
For his part, Nicolás Saavedra, deputy mayor of the municipality, stressed that this action “settles a debt owed to the neighbors, improving the safety and accessibility of a key road for the municipality,” he declared.
Ulpiano Calero, Councilor for Roads and Works, has detailed that “the works include a two-way lane, 600 meters of asphalt and the construction of sidewalks on one of the sides of the road, which will guarantee safer and more comfortable circulation for pedestrians and vehicles.”
“The Camino Berriel will soon be a reality, thanks to the joint effort of the City Council and the contractor, to provide the area with a modern infrastructure that is adequate for the current needs of the residents,” concluded José Juan Cruz, mayor of Tías.
Tías awards the Camino Berriel project for more than 380,000 euros
