The Tías City Council announces that on Monday, January 27, work will begin on the renovation of public lighting installations on Avenida Francia and Suiza, Rusia, Yugoslavia, Polonia, Hungría, Rumanía, Iceland and Plaza Yugoslavia streets, in the Los Pocillos area.
The works will be carried out in sections and will begin on Hungría Street, which is being signposted for this purpose. The Councilor for Urban Planning, Ulpiano Calero, explains that "we seek to minimize inconvenience and ensure that the works are carried out as quickly as possible. We thank the residents in advance for their understanding during the development of these actions, which will bring visible benefits for all."
This project, budgeted at 875,559.56 euros, is financed by the European Union through Next Generation funds, managed by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
For Ulpiano Calero, the renovation works of public lighting on Avenida Francia and its surrounding streets "represent an important step in the improvement of the infrastructure of Puerto del Carmen, especially in an area as important as Los Pocillos."
These actions, he adds, "not only modernize our facilities, but also guarantee greater energy efficiency, safety and sustainability for our residents and visitors."
