The Tinajo City Council has recovered the water after reaching an agreement with Canal Gestión. According to the mayor of the municipality, Jesús Machín, "half of the invoices will be paid this year and the other half next year." The company has confirmed to La Voz that the water supply "will be recovered throughout the day."

"The meeting implies that the Tinajo City Council has recognized the invoices," Canal points out. In total, there were 794 unpaid invoices, which amounted to an accumulated debt of 87,850 euros in four years.

Machín highlighted that "the Cabildo and more people from the Consortium" participated in the meeting and that he felt "very supported." In addition, he added that he has recovered the good relationship with Canal. "The manager of Canal Gestión called me last night to tell me that this Tuesday first thing in the morning the seals that were placed on the meters were removed," he says.

The mayor of Tinajo has assured that his was not the only City Council with problems with Canal. "I know that there are other city councils with water meters cut off and they have not said anything, but well, I don't care at all, I'm not going to be accusing anyone or anything like that," he said, without clarifying which municipalities he was referring to. For its part, Canal has not confirmed this information.
