The statement of the socialist councilor Lourdes Cabrera in the Courts has ended up straining the pact between CC and the PSOE in the Teguise City Council, which had already been dragging differences for months. "The situation of distrust towards that person is total," say from the press office of the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, who has asked the Socialist Party to adopt "measures" with Cabrera.
For its part, the PSOE has decided to remain silent and so far has not wanted to make statements about it. "We will speak when we meet," said the organization secretary of the party on the island, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, while the general secretary, María Dolores Corujo, has also declined to comment.
Although CC in Teguise has not given dates or wanted to advance what position it will adopt if the PSOE does not remove Cabrera, it has made it clear that it is not willing to continue governing with her, after learning the content of her statement in the Courts, as accused of alleged disclosure of secrets, within the case opened for the leaking of emails from the CC councilor Daniel Morales.

After her statement, Cabrera herself made public that she has already requested the dismissal of the proceedings against her, "understanding that the events that actually occurred do not constitute any infraction." That is, she did not deny having provided a third person with the emails, but she did deny that she was the one who initially leaked them.
It should be remembered that Cabrera's indictment occurred after the statement of a local police officer, who stated before the judge that it was the councilor who sent him those emails.
