The San Bartolomé football field, formerly called Las Palmeras, will be named Pedro Espinosa de León from this Saturday. During this day, a match will be held between San Bartolomé C.F. and U.D. Balos of Gran Canaria, of preferred regional category. The match will be at 5:30 p.m.

Before the start of the match, a tribute ceremony will be held for Pedro Espinosa de Léon, in which the mayor of San Bartolomé, María Dolores Corujo, will be present, on behalf of the Municipal Corporation. In addition, the president of San Bartolomé C.F., fans, friends and the honoree will attend. In this way, the sporting work he has done at the club will be recognized.

Pedro Espinosa de León, better known as "Colón", will witness how a plaque is placed on the football field, with this change of name. This tribute is in gratitude "to the effort, dedication and work in favor of municipal football especially in San Bartolomé C.F. being an active member in the operation of the club, co-founder and great supporter within the veterans", according to the City Council.

The Councilor for Sports, Antonio Rocío, has encouraged fans, friends and supporters of San Bartolomé C.F. and lovers of this sport to this tribute event, "which is the recognition of people who selflessly work and support municipal sports, making it great with their dedication and enthusiasm".
