The Insular Theater El Salinero hosted a talk by the renowned artist, rapper, and communicator Arkano, aimed at the 4th year students of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) from Lanzarote and La Graciosa. The initiative brought together more than 400 students from all the institutes of both islands in a meeting focused on reflection, motivation, and the personal development of youth.
The president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, was in charge of the welcome at an event that seeks to bring positive messages linked to personal improvement, education, and emotional health closer to young people. Betancort emphasizes that “it is fundamental to generate spaces where our young people can hear real and inspiring testimonies that help them face personal and emotional challenges with confidence and effort”. Likewise, he underlines “the importance of promoting initiatives that connect with youth through relatable and committed role models with positive values”.
The Minister of Youth, Aroa Revelo, pointed out that “this activity represents a unique opportunity to bring tools for motivation, reflection, and personal growth closer to young people through a relatable and current language”. “Arkano’s figure connects very well with the new generations because he transmits messages linked to self-esteem, creativity, and the importance of taking care of emotional health,” she adds.
For his part, the Minister of Culture, Jesús Machín, highlighted “the importance of bringing cultural and educational proposals that are related to the concerns of youth and that serve to generate reflection and learning beyond the classroom”. He also pointed out that “the presence of figures like Arkano allows transmitting positive messages through a relatable and current language, fostering values such as creativity, self-esteem, and personal resilience among the youth of Lanzarote and La Graciosa”.

Arkano, considered one of the most outstanding figures in Spanish-language freestyle and improvised rap, became known for his ability to improvise rhymes in national and international competitions, achieving milestones such as victory in the Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos International in 2015 and a Guinness World Record after improvising for more than 24 consecutive hours. In addition to his artistic career, the Alicante native has participated in television programs, educational projects, and social campaigns related to mental health and youth well-being.
The talk addressed issues of great interest to young people such as personal growth, emotional health, creativity, education, and the importance of communication and culture as tools for personal and social development. Through his life and professional experience, Arkano shared a relatable and inspiring message aimed at the participating students.
The organization especially thanks the involvement and support of the Cabildo's Minister of Education, Ascensión Toledo, as well as the collaboration of the Minister of Culture, Jesús Machín, to make this educational and social activity possible for the youth of Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
