The announcement of the closure of the only private Children's School in the municipality of Tinajo on August 31, has raised the concern of many parents, who will have to move to other municipalities to obtain this service.

Begoña Hernández, spokesperson for the PSOE of Tinajo, regrets "the inability and neglect of the government group, to seek an immediate solution, as well as in the long term, since the possibility of the closure of this School had been commented on for some months".

The socialists affirm that there are many families and children harmed, regretting that from September many families from Tinajo and neighboring municipalities will find it difficult to reconcile family and work life.

"It is inadmissible that Tinajo is the only municipality in Lanzarote that does not have a public Children's School, which places us again at the tail of priority services", adds Hernández "but if we also let the only private one that families have close, it already borders on precariousness".

The PSOE is committed to taking a motion to the next ordinary plenary session requesting the creation of a public Children's School from the government group. Begoña Hernández asks the mayor Jesús Machín, "to act with his head and think as a priority about the needs of our neighbors and make the necessary arrangements so that our Municipality has a public Children's School"
