The PSOE of Tinajo has valued the municipal budget for the year 2023 as "routine accounts and without ambition to make the changes that the municipality needs." Hernández also considers that the budget "does not address the problems and needs that our municipality has."

"Jesús Machín has neither a roadmap nor a project for Tinajo"

According to Begoña Hernández, its spokesperson, the accounts approved last Tuesday, April 4, by the Canarian Coalition, "expose the government group and demonstrate that Jesús Machín has neither a roadmap nor a project for Tinajo, so the budget is just a jumble of figures without a vision for the future."

The socialist highlights that: "not a single one of the pending problems in our municipality is addressed, nor are the strategic lines." In this sense, she affirms that, for example, "the forecast of income from taxes levied on residents (IBI) is maintained." In short, "not a single strategic line for the future," she adds.

So much so that "a bonus in the IBI for homes that implement energy exploitation systems to advance as a municipality aware of sustainability and respect for the environment" has not been foreseen either, and "a tax break for all properties in the municipality in which an economic activity is carried out" is not stipulated either.

"There is no interest in turning Tinajo into a sustainable municipality"

The budget does not deal with "a single strategic line for the future of Tinajo, neither in tourism, nor in heritage, nor in training", says the socialist, who underlines: "It is regrettable that the item for equipment for playgrounds is 0 euros, as well as for industry and energy, so there is no interest in turning Tinajo into a sustainable municipality."

"A budget that gives off pre-election odors with farewell music"

From the PSOE they insist that "the government of Jesús Machín does bet, however, "on continuing with scandalous amounts of spending on councilors' gasoline and on protocol, leaving commerce, tourism and small and medium-sized companies to a minimum", so we can assure that "it is a budget that gives off pre-election odors with farewell music".

Finally, Hernández reiterates that "the political cycle of Machín and the Canarian Coalition "has come to an end" and, "if the neighbors want, this will be the last budget of this government group." "We commit to ensuring that the 2024 budgets that we present will be up to what Tinajo deserves," she clarifies as part of the measures they want to carry out.
