The PSOE of San Bartolomé approved this Monday the candidacy to the City Council that Isidro Pérez will lead for the local elections on May 28.
In a meeting held by the Local Assembly, the list has been approved by a large majority of the members, who have shown their support for the management carried out in the current term by the municipal government group.
The colleagues who will be part of the proposal with which the PSOE aspires to revalidate the majority are Marlene Romero Machín, Raúl de León de León, María del Carmen Medina Toledo, Victoriano Antonio Rocío Romero, Estefanía Luzardo Pérez, Fernando Vadillo González, Alma María González Mauri, Alexis Jesús Hernández Melián, Ana Lopes da Silva Santos, Mamadou Yero Sy Cissé, Mónica de León de León, Miguel Merino Bermejo, Inmaculada Cejas Lemes, Ricardo Flores Sánchez Pastor, Giulia Fiorentina Semeria and Leandro Abad Santana.
"This list combines experience and renewal, in addition to being a solvent team with great work capacity. With this candidacy we intend to generate confidence and enthusiasm among the neighbors, who will decide the course of the municipality for the next four years," said Isidro Pérez.
Social rights as a flag
During the next weeks, the PSOE of San Bartolomé will be detailing the program with which it will compete in the May elections. In the meeting this Monday, the candidate has already advanced the main lines of a document whose proposals revolve around the attention to the most vulnerable groups, the elderly, young people, children and equality policies, among others. "We intend, in short, to continue maintaining social rights as a flag, placing people at the center of all management."
In his speech, the socialist candidate acknowledged the important work carried out in this term by the colleagues who have been part of the Government group. "I thank them for their effort, their tireless work and their generosity, both in the good times we have shared, which have been many, and in all the obstacles and very difficult situations we have had to face."
Before the members of the PSOE of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez has expressed his desire to "continue working to improve the municipality, for the well-being of people as the north of the policies to be developed by the great team that will accompany me in this task."
For his part, the local secretary of the PSOE, Raúl de León, says that Isidro Pérez "represents modern socialism, close and with which it has been possible to give stability to the municipality in recent years." In this sense, he is convinced that Pérez meets the conditions to be "the best mayor our neighbors can have."
