The PSOE in Arrecife denounces that Yonathan de León has not cleaned the city two weeks after the floods. The formation assures that it has received countless complaints from many residents due to the lack of cleanliness and hygiene that exists in the streets due to the "incompetence" of the mayor.
“First he complicated the city with a shoddy paving that blocked drains, eliminated curbs and with a lack of control over the works, which meant that many houses that never had problems were flooded with sewage. And as if that were not enough, he leaves the city uncleaned for two weeks,” recalls Cristina Duque, councilor of the PSOE in Arrecife.
From the socialist group in Arrecife they affirm that "the lack of cleaning is reckless" and recall that "these streets are full of mud that is mixed with sewage and with remains of vermin, which is a very serious problem." “The neighbors cannot be paying for the mayor's contempt for the hygiene of the streets that he has for Arrecife,” adds Duque.
Finally, the socialists demand that "de León abandon the policy of selfies for a while and work." "You cannot be accumulating mud and dirt continuously on the roads where children and citizens in general pass. And streets such as Santander, Seguidilla, Rancho de Pascua Aires de Lima. Or Hermanos Álvarez Quintero, El Bartolo, La Carmen, La Niña, Severo Ochoa or Avenida Hernández Pacheco, are an example of bad management, disaffection and incompetence never before seen in the history of the city," they sentence.
