The PSOE of Tinajo has criticized the “lack of dedication” of the municipal government team, which has once again started the year "with the extended budgets of 2020”. "It is unacceptable that a government team of six councilors plus the mayor, all of them released, have the City Council technically stopped", denounced the spokesperson for the socialist group in the City Council, Begoña Hernández.
According to her, since March 2021, the mayor has said on several occasions "that the budget is drafted, repeatedly lying not only to the opposition, but also to the citizens of Tinajo”, since the accounts for that year were never approved and now neither are those for the current year.
"New budgets that are adjusted to the current reality of 2022 have not been approved”, laments the PSOE, which emphasizes that "the municipal budget is the most important document for the functioning of any city council". In addition, it criticizes that this situation is occurring, with budgets extended for two years now, when CC has an absolute majority in the municipality.
"Tinajo cannot afford to continue in this situation that is repeated year after year. We started the year and Coalición Canaria has not yet been able, not even, to present a draft of it", insists the socialist councilor.
