The PSOE denounces that the government presided over by the nationalist Oswaldo Betancort "has not been able to recover the blue flag that flew on El Jablillo beach a year later."
As stated in the list of concessions for this award, announced this Wednesday by the Foundation for Environmental Education, El Jablillo beach for the second year "is left without a distinction of quality, trust and safety of our beaches."
"If last year it already seemed like bad news, this time the criticism should be greater, because they have had a year to correct the situation and also the 50th anniversary of Costa Teguise is being celebrated,” says councilor Jaime Guerra.
“It is a continuation of the apathy shown by the current government: the worsening of the situation of urban skeletons, the deterioration of the gardens, the slip-up of the medals to be awarded on the occasion of the 50th anniversary or the lack of a plan to modernize Costa Teguise, the list is growing,” Guerra points out.
"The Socialist Group hopes that on this occasion, at least, they will not resort to far-fetched excuses such as blaming other administrations for the work that a government does not do, which lets opportunities pass by for the main economic engine of the municipality,” adds the councilor.
“Costa Teguise deserves to move forward, it needs good news and not the ‘apathy of a medal’ from a government more focused on steamrolling the PSOE's initiatives than on municipal interests,” he warns.
