The Popular Party of Tinajo requests the municipal government to launch a used oil collection service in the municipality, since, at present, there is no adequate system that allows the removal of domestic vegetable cooking oil. "The lack of a collection service and specific containers for this purpose in the towns of the municipality is causing a situation of unhealthiness and deterioration of the urban environment," they say.

From the PP they denounce that "the absence of this service is leading to the presence of gallons full of oil in the vicinity of the container area, in the middle of the public road, which generates a very undesirable image in different parts of the municipality, as has recently happened in the town of La Santa."

“It is a shame that, in the 21st century, the residents of Tinajo do not have an adequate network of tanks for the collection of used oil. The current situation, with gallons abandoned next to the containers, is unacceptable and a lack of respect for the environment and the image of our towns,” said José Pérez, spokesperson for the Popular Party's work team in Tinajo.

In this sense, the PP recalls that "the collection of used oil is a municipal responsibility and urges the local government to take immediate measures to enable a regular collection system, and thus prevent the accumulation of this waste on public roads from continuing."

At the same time, the populars make a public call for citizens to act in a civic and responsible manner and, while a solution is being found, collaborate by depositing the oil at the municipal recycling center in order to prevent contamination of public spaces.
