The leader of the PP, councilor of the Municipal Corporation and candidate for mayor of Tías, Kiko Aparicio, has demanded that the socialist mayor José Juan Cruz Saavedra "it is about time that he dedicate time and personnel to improve the cleaning and tidy up the green areas in all accesses to the towns of the municipality of Tías and Puerto del Carmen, the main tourist area of Lanzarote".

For Aparicio, "during this entire mandate, with the PSOE, Podemos and the absent councilor of Lava, Mame Fernández, it has been verified that the cleaning and conservation of the gardens throughout the municipality of Tías has gone back light years".

"You only have to go through the towns of Tías and Puerto del Carmen," criticizes Aparicio, "and you can see the abandonment, the dirt and the accumulation of waste in public spaces and the margins of roads, streets and avenues, with green spaces, which are owned by the municipality, and the Tías City Council is responsible for their care, cleaning and conservation".

The PP councilor points out that "the situation of these public spaces in the municipality of Tías, show the neglect of the mayor of Tías, Cruz Saavedra, where the councilor of Tourism, Mame Fernández, does not claim in his Government group either, as he has been absent from his municipal activity for a long time". The residents and businessmen of Puerto del Carmen, as well as the residents in the rural areas of the entire municipality, "have been waiting a long time for the tripartite to start working on improving the cleaning, which has signs of abandonment for a long time and has gone back light years during this mandate", concludes Aparicio.
